The Buka team will share a special selection of Valentine wines and Melissa Warnke Candles & Home will take us through her special candle-pouring workshop for a fun, hands-on experience! Celebrate Valentine’s with us for an afternoon to remember.
Everything you need to make your own candle is supplied. Attendees mix their own scent and pour their own candle, learning the basics and science behind candle-making. When it’s over, everyone takes home their finished candle!

About the Trainers
Melissa Warnke
As a business owner, communications director, former news anchor, and her favorite role - "mom," to two little girls, Melissa Warnke has many titles. After graduating from Auburn University, she began her 15 year career in the communications field as an anchor and reporter for WSFA 12 News in Montgomery from 2008-2015. Today, she leads the communications staff at the Alabama State Bar as its director, serving the 19,000+ attorneys in Alabama. Melissa is also the founder and owner of Melissa Warnke Candles - a luxury candle company based in Montgomery. Launched in 2019, Melissa is best known for her hand-gilded gold leaf candles, custom and private label offerings, and - her favorite thing - candle making parties and workshops, where she shares her love of the craft with others.
Melissa made her first candle in 2012, which she poured inside a vintage tea cup. Over the years, her unique candles grew in popularity through holiday markets and local craft shows. With an eye for style and design, Melissa's hobby became a full-fledged business in 2019, when she debuted her line of hand-gilded candles. The stunning and distinctive look turned her candles into instant bestsellers, but the high-quality ingredients and long-burning, long-lasting fragrances of the candles kept customers coming back again and again. Today, Melissa sells her candles all over the U.S. at melissawarnke.com, and her wholesale collections are popping up at retailers all over the Southeast. In addition, her ability to design and create sleek, modern, and meaningful custom and private label candles has become the most significant part of her business. Whether a customer is seeking a company-branded line of candles or a personalized gift candle for special occasions, Melissa and her team have extensive experiences helping clients through the process. They have worked with universities, brides, national sports organizations, banks, and other vendors to create one-of-a-kind gifts that become much-talked-about crowd favorites!
Melissa and her team also host candle-making parties and workshops for birthday parties, holiday gatherings, family events, and company team-building functions.

Jeremy, Buka’s manager & wine buyer, is passionate about creating a list of wines that tell a story. When he’s not playing music, he enjoys gathering wines & charcuterie for customers.
